Our Directors participate in many interests to maintain an arts focused practice and have in-depth experience in local and state government and the not-for-profit arts sector.
Corine van Hall
Director
Corine van Hall is a Director and Lead Public Art Consultant at Indarra. She specialises in delivering complex public art commissions and high-impact projects. Her portfolio includes state and local governments, festivals, and private developers. As a consultant for the WA Government Percent for Art Scheme, Corine works all over the state and directly with many of WA’s contemporary visual artists.
Corine holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from Curtin University and has a strong foundation in all levels of art production, developed when establishing and managing artist-run initiatives, exhibitions, and community-based projects. She is deeply committed to supporting artists to realise their potential and brings extensive, sector-wide experience across the WA arts landscape.
Career highlights include Corine’s pivotal role as a founding partner in the establishment of the Fremantle Biennale, as well as commissioning the iconic Rainbow (Containbow) sculpture. These two landmark projects helped reposition Fremantle on the national cultural map during her tenure as Public Art Coordinator at the City of Fremantle.
Other noteworthy roles include Exhibition Coordinator of the Art Gallery of WA, Exhibition Coordinator at Fremantle Prison, Manager of the Mark Howlett Foundation and the Tresillian Arts Centre.
Corine’s expertise and statewide reach have made her a trusted leader in bringing art to life in public spaces.

Peter Grant
Director
Peter is a Co-founder and Director of Indarra Public Art. As an artistic director and project manager Peter developed, produced or presented over 500 individual projects involving more than 1,000 Western Australian Artists. He is committed to supporting the effective engagement of WA art and Artists with the broader community to help keep WA a culturally engaged and interesting place.
Peter’s focus is on policy development, project management, the integration of sustainable practices and renewable energy technologies with creative practice.
Notable projects include the state tourism award winning QFest Festival as Artistic Director, the establishment of the state heritage award winning Donnelly River Holiday Village (as founding manager and Deputy Chair), and the development of the public art plan for the Scarborough Redevelopment.
Peter maintains a wide network and has contributed professionally across the cultural industries including as Director and CEO of the Artrage Festival, Director of the Joondalup Festival, Content Advisory Panel Member of the ABC, Chair of the Film and Television Institute and Artistic Director and CEO of the Artists Foundation of WA. Beyond this he maintains an associated professional interest in emerging trends in the banking and energy sectors – specifically regarding potential intersections between art, artists, and the built environment.

The name Indarra is derived from the Basque, Indar meaning strength and grace, we thought a fitting title for our service ethos.
